VSOP Mitaka Correlator
The menbers of Mitaka VSOP group operate both the space VLBI satellite "HALCA" of which The Insitute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) launched by M-V rocket at Feb 12 1997, and the JAPAN VLBI network (J-net) consists of 4 antennae such as the Nobeyam 45 m, the Mizusawa 10 m, the Kagoshima 6 m of National Astronomical Observatory, and the Kashima 34 m of Communication Research Labolatory (CRL). The VLBI data will be correlated at the Mitaka correlation center having a high speed FX type correlator. The members eventually carry out thier own scientific research such as star formation, jet from AGN and its engine.
